Jonathon Held was a guest speaker at the
Annual Meeting of the Property Insurance Law Committee
of the American Bar Association. Mr. Held addressed a
group of both plaintiffs and defense lawyers on the topic
of resolving disputed first party property insurance claims
through the formal process of appraisal (arbitration). Mr.
Held also presented a paper entitled The Appraisal Process
– “An outline for making awards useful and final”
– Guidelines for resolving disputes in first party property
insurance claims.
